Last week at dinner, Brian and I were talking about whether or not Allison has ever had to sit in time out at daycare. We didn't think she had. The next day when I got home from work, Brian said "Allison, tell momma she jinxed you." For the first time, Allison had to sit in time out at daycare - not once, but twice.
According to Ms. Deb, she pushed a little boy down (I guess he was pushing Allison's buttons all morning and she had it) and she ripped pages out of a Dora book. As Brian was telling me the story, Allison was looking very serious and upset. She was looking very solemn and wouldn't look me in the eye. I wanted her to take this serious, so I talked to her about being nice to the other kids and that we don't tear pages out of a book - that was a no no. In all actuality I was having a hard time keeping a serious face because Allison looked so cute, however I was proud of myself for keeping a straight face. That was until Brian told me what Allison did when Ms. Deb caught her with the torn-out pages. As Ms. Deb walked in the room, Allison slid the pages towards Mia, as if Mia had torn out the pages. At that point in the story I had to turn around so Allison didn't see me laughing.
The next day we went to the store to buy a new book for daycare. They didn't have Dora so we got a Yo Gabba Gabba book instead (sorry Ms. Deb, at least it wasn't a DVD, right?). The next morning Allison brought the book to daycare. Ms. Deb said we didn't need to do that but I figured it was a good teaching experience... noticed I didn't say learning experience. I'm not a naive mom - I know we will have plenty more "teaching experiences."

Happy Halloween
Another Halloween season has passed. The girls had a wonderful time on Halloween. I thought I would have to show Allison how to trick-or-treat, but she must have remembered from last year. She was an old pro. As soon as we went outside she was ready to go. The first house we went to she ran up to the front door and yelled out trick-or-trick (more like her version of it, but we knew what she was saying). Despite the cold weather, we hit all the houses on our block that were giving out candy. Amelia rode along in her little car and loved all the attention she received.

Get Better Soon Papa
Allison and Amelia say "Get Well Papa". Their papa had surgery a few weeks ago. Due to some post OP complications, he was in the hospital for two weeks. However he is home now and resting. He is finally eating solids, Hip Hip Hooray!!! Amelia says "enjoy them, they are really good. I have been eating them for a few months now." Allison says "be good and get healthy. And don't give Nana a hard time." We Love You Papa.

SHE LIKES IT!
So far we really haven't found anything that Amelia doesn't like to eat. Most of the times she doesn't even show a reaction when she tries new foods. We thought that maybe we could get a reaction out of Amelia if we gave her a pickle.

Decides what the heck, she will eat it. It is now a tasty treat for her.
HIDE!!!
Allison loves to "hide" especially when she hears Brian coming into the room or going upstairs if we are already up there. It cracks me up because she says "HIDE" in a very loud whisper. Sometimes she will come running into the room where I am at saying "HIDE, HIDE, HIDE" and then proceeds to "hide." The only thing is that Allison's thought is "If I can't see you, you can't see me."
