How our hearts have grown...

A year ago today, we heard Allison's heartbeat for the first time. It was such a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine's Day. However this year was even better. The three of us went out to dinner and walked around the mall. Every time I looked at Allison in her cute little Valentine's Day outfit, my heart soared. She was in such a great mood and had fun watching all the things around her, especially the carousel at the mall. It was as though she was watching a tennis match since her eyes darted back and forth.

Brian and I couldn't have asked for a better gift, since not only can we hear her heartbeat if we so chose, but we can also hear her laughter and her newest trick - panting like a dog.

Pin the Heart...

Much to Allison's surprise, she discovers the real reason why she was invited to the Valentine's Day party....Pin the Heart on the Baby.

Ways to Keep Allison Amused #73

Whenever we go upstairs, I stop by the window so she can look out. She loves doing this and gets all excited. So I thought I would set her high chair by the window so she can look out. When she has successfully finished throwing her toys on the ground one-by-one it is time for something new.

Sittin' So Pretty

This week Allison starting sitting up by herself. She is getting pretty good at it. We still have to sit close by in case she tumbles over. This makes play time so much better though. She can reach for her toys. It makes it easier for her to put them in her mouth.

One day when Allison watches The Christmas Story for the first time, she will feel a special connection to Ralphy and his pink bunny costume.

Happy Groundhog Day

Allison attended her first Groundhog's Day party last night with us. My friend Amy and her husband Jim, hosted their 4th Annual Groundhog's Day party.
It is hard to see in the picture but she is holding Phil. She became a Official Honorary Member of the Punxsy Phil's Fan Club. We have a membership card, along with a temproary tatto to go in her scrapbook. Allison loved the company and watching everyone. It must have worn her out because she slept in until 9 am this morning (minus a 5 am feeding.) Amy, do you mind if we ship her over to your house every Saturday night so we can wear her out?

A Behind the Scenes Look

Here is what it took to get Allison's 6th month photo (see post below)

Take 1 - Allison....look at mamma.

Take 10 - What did you have this piece of paper here for mom?

Take 15 - I love squeeshing paper!

Take 20 - Mom, this is getting kind of boring. Would you hurry it up.

Take 22 - In case you can't read the sign, it says I'm six months old today.

Take 30 - Ohhh.. a new outfit and sign to ruin.
